Know your Vehicle size

It is very important to know your vehicle size!

While travelling across Australia you will come across many situations whereby you will need to know your total overall length of your vehicle and what you may be towing.

When you board ferry’s and boats all around the country or drive under awnings, roofs or bridges it is going to be very important you know exactly your length, width and height.

You will need the exact measurements especially when booking your vehicle on the Spirit of Tasmania.

Do you know your vehicle size? Watch the video to learn more.

Cleaning your Solar Panels

If you are road tripping Australia it’s very likely you have a Power source setup that includes Solar power, therefore cleaning your Solar Panels is very important.

Before we ventured off on our trip my electrician mate gave me the wise words of “make sure you keep the solar panels clean”. He explained this will ensure maximum efficiency.

Today we will show you how we go about cleaning our Solar panels. We have 3 panels on the roof of our Motorhome and they get cleaned on a regular basis.

You’ll need access to your roof, a chamois or sponge, water (warm is good) and a cloth or something to wipe it dry, is good too.

Since doing this video we have implemented our new C-TEK battery management system and got it working and now we generate a lot more power than we were on this day.

Keep your solar panels clean and you will enjoy a lot more efficiency from your solar system.

Getting to Brisbane City and Southbank

When you travel in a big vehicle such as our Motorhome, going into the City in Brisbane or to Southbank Parklands and finding a park isn’t possible. Today’s video shows you how we do it, it’s easy, fun and not expensive.

We can always find a park at Portside and from there catch the Citycat up the Brisbane River and we can get off directly at Southbank or a number of locations for the city.

Watch our video for all the details 🙂

Our camera equipment we use for all our photos and videos are:
Canon 600d – https://amzn.to/2SKAajA
Canon 50mm lens – https://amzn.to/2sfsYAD. This is the lens I use the least, ideal for still, close up shots.
Canon 24-105mm lens – https://amzn.to/2CXr2Ts. This is my all round, every day use, zoom lens. Great quality.
Canon 70-300mm lens – https://amzn.to/2CdM6mT. I use this one a lot. Perfect for getting that long range shot.
Sigma 10-20mm lens – https://amzn.to/2C8FBC2. My wide angle lens for all my inside photos & video plus lots more, love this lens.

Go Pro Hero 3 Black – https://amzn.to/2C7PaRM. The latest Go Pro’s are so much more advanced than my Hero 3. The new Go Pro 7 is an awesome piece of equipment and will be my next purchase.
Mavic Pro Platinum Drone – https://amzn.to/2C7Ey5f. This is a real ripper of a drone. The Fly More Combo will provide you with everything you will need. Get the Gannet Bait Release for fishing and you’ll never need a boat again.
