Caravan Parks

Reflections Holiday Park, Red Rock NSW

Our stay at the stunning Red Rock in NSW was at the Reflections Holiday Park located with the beach on one side and Corindi River on the other.

This is a fabulous Caravan park which is very reasonable priced and also provides a great cafe and small shop.

There are several amenities blocks in the park, a great camp kitchen and dog washing facilities. There are laundries and a dump point. Water is available from the rainwater tanks in the park. The taps around the sites are bore water and not suitable for drinking.

We had good Telstra and Vodafone coverage and the park has Free Wifi. There is also Telstra Air from the phone box just next to the park.

The park is pet friendly however talk to the manager about any conditions in this regard.

Cost to stay is $36 for 2 adults in a powered site or unpowered for $28 per night.

Our stay was for 5 nights from the 25-29th October 2018.

Safe travels

Caravan Parks

Daly Waters Pub Caravan park, Daly Waters NT

The Daly Waters Caravan Park is located at the famous Daly Waters Pub in the Northern Territory.

It is close to the highway and approx halfway from the Three Ways to Darwin.

There is a pool at the caravan park which is very handy on those hot outback days. Whilst there, try their great Barra Burgers.

The park is pet friendly.

I had reasonable Telstra coverage.

Cost to stay is $32 for a powered site or $20 for unpowered.

We didn’t stay but visited on 16th July 2016 and 25th May 2017 when this video was taken.

Cape Hillsborough Tourist Park, Cape Hillsborough Queensland

This is a very popular place due to the early morning feature of Kangaroo’s feeding on the beach and spectacular sunrises. You definitely won’t regret rising early. It is definitely worth it to get a glimpse of the roos on the beach or in the water. You can get some great photos as well, so don’t forget to take your camera!

The Cape Hillsborough Tourist Park is located within the National Park so therefore is not Pet Friendly.

There is an excellent pool, good amenities, a cafe and is a short stroll to the beach. The sites are big and there’s BBQ’s and kitchens around the park.

There is basically no phone coverage and no Wifi available.

Cost to stay is $36 per night for 2 adults.

Our Stays were 14-15th April 2016 and 17-18th June 2018

Caravan Parks

Base Backpackers Hostel & Caravan Park, Airlie Beach Queensland

185. Base Backpackers Hostel & Caravan Park, Airlie Beach definitely won’t be for most but it was ideal for us as we wanted to be right in Airlie Beach.

This is designed for backpackers so you would need to be very tolerant to stay here. They were clear to point out that we were not at a Big 4 and it was a backpackers.

At night there was music playing from the local bars and everyone is parked fairly close together. We didn’t see any unruly behaviour or people intoxicated though in our 5 nights there but we did meet a few great young travellers.

There is Free Wifi from the front reception and just outside. We had great Telstra & Vodafone coverage.

The park is pet friendly.

Watch the video before coming to stay here, it will help you decide if it’s for you or not.

Cost to stay was $35 per night.

Our stay was 12-16th June 2018
