Caravan Parks
Caravan Parks are just one of the options where travellers roadtripping Australia can stay to enable them to explore a town or region or to just break up their journey.
There are literally hundreds of Caravan Parks around Australia and we have stayed in quite a number of them especially when we first headed off on our adventure.
Leaving in the height of Summer and to combat the heat, we spent the first 4 months predominantly in Caravan Parks so we could be on powered sites to run the air-conditioning and swim in the park pools.
How much does it cost to stay in Caravan Parks?
The cost to stay in Caravan Parks varies due to a number of factors including location and park facilities.
Parks with limited facilities are usually budget priced and available between $30-40 a night for a couple. Big Parks with all the toys or in prime position will cost $40-60 a night for a couple.
Caravan Parks Memberships
There are a number of Caravan Park groups that offer Membership discounts.
By joining up as members you can usually save up to 10% as well as other member benefits.
Shortly after we left on our adventure, we signed up to Big 4, Top Parks and Discovery and enjoyed the discounted park fees.
