Camp Grounds

Wynyard Showground, Wynyard Tasmania

82. Wynyard is just 19km west of Burnie in Tasmania’s north west and the Showground provides a 24 hour stay for self contained Motorhomes only. Caravans are not allowed, my guess is because of limited space.

There are no facilities available at the Showground except a bin however there is a dump Point and water available in town. The Showground is pet friendly.

We have great Telstra and Vodafone coverage.

The cost is Free.

Our stay was 19th February 2017

Camp Grounds

Illaroo North Campground, Yuraygir National Park, Minnie Water NSW

The Illaroo Campground, Yuraygir National Park, Minnie Waters comprises 2 options, the North and South camps. Our stay was in the Illaroo North Campground.

Only a few kms from the Illaroo Campground is Wooli on the NSW Coast and it is not far from Grafton.

The road in is bitumen to the turnoff with the last 2kms on dirt road which had many potholes when we were there. Take it easy and you will have no issues.

Bins are available and there are toilets. A BBQ overlooking the beach is also available.

There is no Telstra Phone coverage at Illaroo North Campground however Optus does work here. This is National Park and therefore pets are prohibited.

Our site was quite large and most come with a fire pit. Also you will need a NSW National Parks vehicle pass for $8 per day or we have the annual pass for $65.

Cost to stay is $12 per adult per night. Children are $6 per night. Visitors are $8 per day.

Our stay was 24th October 2018
